About Sue Mosher
Hi! I'm Sue Mosher, and Place Keepers is my ongoing project for exploring the relationship of people to place, both specific places -- especially sacred spaces -- and our general spatial relationship with the world.
My Background
I am a trained labyrinth facilitator, having studied with Lauren Artress, one of the leaders of the modern-day labyrinth revival. I enjoy creating unique labyrinth events and sharing photos of the many outdoor labyrinths that I visit.
I am currently studying contemplative leadership with the Shalem Institute and will complete that program in 2011.
In 2009, I received my M.A. degree in Humanities from Pacifica Graduate Institute. My course of study emphasized depth psychology, mythology, and their practical application to today's educational, communications, environmental, and economic challenges. You can read my portfolio online.
Prior to studying at Pacifica, I enjoyed successful careers in broadcast news and desktop software.
I live in Arlington, VA, just outside Washington, DC -- near good airports, highways, and rail routes that can take me anywhere I might want to go.
What I Do
I try to apply what I've learned at the intersection of spirit and action, guiding conversations and individual transformation. Possible engagements through Turtleflock LLC, my private consulting firm, include labyrinth events, writing and editing projects, and group retreats and facilitation.
In my past role as a software guru, I authored hundreds of articles and seven books on Microsoft Outlook, founded two popular web sites for Outlook issues, and was recognized by Microsoft for my volunteer work in online forums, receiving the annual Most Valuable Professional award every year from 1994 to 2010.
