Sometimes the delight (or revulsion) we feel about a place is tied to its textures -- the angle at which the boards on a deck catch the light or the surface of a rock or a pond. Perceiving those textures requires stillness, so that the eye can relax into the detail. This gallery holds a sample of some of my favorite textures from walks and travels.
